Obey the law, yes--but subdivision requirements by a homeowner's association? oh please...(cringe)....and likewise (shudder) .

Linda, thank you so very much for your words of comfort and sympathy at my article about my cat Reese. Having her put to sleep was a very hard decision for me to make. I didn't want her to have to suffer anymore and I knew from the way she was acting that she was beginning to hurt and be uncomfortable. A part of me wanted to be selfish and keep her with me longer, but I knew that was not fair to her. Mostly I just wanted to not have to make the decision at all. I wanted things to go back to normal and the tumor to go away, but I knew that wasn't going to happen. I also realized that there was no way that I could not be there with her and for her when she had to be put to sleep. I didn't want her to face that alone, no matter how much it hurt me to have to see it all happen and know the moment she passed. Tonight is going to be very hard for me, because she cuddled with me before bed and then slept by my head each night on my pillow. I know I'm rambling here, and I apologize, but I just appreciated your comment so much, and I wanted you to know that. It's also comforting to know that others have had to go through the same thing before. Losing my cat is to me like losing a family member, because that's what Reese was. She was a part of our family. I think people around us don't really think of losing a pet as a major event and don't understand that you mourn for them just as you would a person. Again, thank you so much. Victoria

Your profile reads as if we are too much alike not to be friends... and I just read your comment to Frances G and applauded it, sitting here in my chair all alone and having felt very inadequate in my own response to her.
We have some different likes and dislikes, I think, but are very similar where it matters.

Thank you so much for your help with a soup. It is neat to see I am not as different as people think. Meaning finding someone else that reads 2-3 books at a time. If you would like I think it would be neat to keep in touch.
Take care. Peg
